Have you ever had that Person,
Who you spent every waking second with?
Who you loved and adored with every heartbeat?
Who you experienced some of your highest highs with,
But also some of your lowest lows?
You feel like you met Them when you were just kids.
Knowing nothing of what this terrifying world bring.
But, They gave you a glimpse of peace,
And a light in when you were stranded in that grim, cryptic cave of yours.
I choose to remember that version of You.
Because I know You are a beautiful person.
I know You are filled with love and laughter.
And though We ended in a disaster,
I know You are not a horrible person.
You were once my everything;
That doesn’t just disappear,
That doesn’t make You nothing.
