To the future me,

I hope you still love wholeheartedly and give your all to those in your life. Life isn’t worth living if you don’t do it 100%.

I hope life treats you kindly because you deserve the best.

I hope you have realized by now that you are enough and worthy of all the love in the world. No one nor anything can take that from you. 

I hope you are surrounded by those who love you and want the best for you. I hope you reciprocate that.

I hope that wherever you are in life, whatever job, city, or relationship: you are smiling. You are satisfied. You are at peace and you have no regrets. You are happy. 

I hope you never waste a day on this planet. I hope you always tell the people in your life that you love them, they are important in your life, and that they will always matter and be enough for you.

I hope you don’t hold on to any anger or pain. People have hurt you, but you are so much more than their opinions of you. You deserve to let your kindness and happiness shine wherever you go. 

I hope one day you are singing, dancing, and living: not worrying about what people think. I hope you are truly acting in your best interests because it is what makes YOU thrive and excel in life. If your efforts are all aimed to make you happy, I can’t imagine where you are. 

I hope you have let people in. I know you built walls up. I don’t know when, or if, they will fall. Yet, I know you still are trying to form relationships with everyone. 

A friend of yours asked me what my greatest fear is. It used to be death. Though the death of myself/anyone in my life scares me, my greatest fear has changed. I am afraid to let someone see who I truly am. Maybe with the loss that I’ve endured, I am afraid of who she is. So many people have left recently or I have pushed them away. I am afraid of letting someone that close to me again; of trusting someone with all of me, all of my heart; for them only to end up hurting me.

I hope you aren’t afraid anymore.

I hope you’ve found beauty in the people around you.

I hope you can trust yourself undoubtedly.

I hope you see yourself as the perfectly imperfect person you were destined to be.
